The 2018 Institutional Assessment on Systemic Racism within FGC
Task Force directed FGC to: “Develop a means to examine and change Quaker traditions, language and process developed by European ancestors to be inclusive of other cultures.“
While nontheism isn’t a racial issue in itself, it does involve respect for diversity among Friends. ‘Worship’ is a traditional theistic term, and nontheist Friends are looking for something more inclusive.
